Answer: As to how Almighty God judges and purifies man in the last days, let’s read Almighty God’s word first! Almighty God says, “when God becomes flesh this time, His work is to express His disposition, primarily through chastisement and judgment. Using this as the foundation, He brings more truth to man, shows more ways of practice, and so achieves His objective of conquering man and saving man from his corrupt disposition. other brothers and sisters, I believed in God in order to go to heaven and gain eternal life, and I labored and worked in serving God in order to gain the crown of righteousness. But while I was desperately yearning for the Lord to return and reward me, I believed the rumors and shut the door on the Lord because of my foolishness and ignorance, becoming an opponent of God.

    In 1999, a booklet called The Inside Story of the Eastern Lightning was circulated to our church, which says, “The ‘Eastern Lightning’ is a cult, a heresy. There is a kind of drug in its book, and one will be deceived if he reads it. Its followers give very profound preaching, and one will join them once he listens to it. The ‘Eastern Lightning’ is an underworld organization. If one joins it, he can never withdraw. Its followers will break the legs of those who withdraw or cut off their nose.” I swallowed all the words in it without thinking, and spread them brazenly. Moreover, I laid down several rules in the church to guard against the “Eastern Lightning”: No one shall have any contact with the believers of the “Eastern Lightning.” No one shall listen to their fellowship or read their book. No one shall receive any outside believer in God without my permission, and they must be brought to the church; violators must make a serious prayer of repentance, and such people will be helped or expelled according to how deeply they have been “poisoned.” The visiting believers are forbidden to preach in our church; they can only listen here.

Question 5: You say only by accepting God’s work of judgment in the last days can man’s corrupt satanic disposition be transformed. We practice patience and humility as required by the Lord, we love our enemy, bear our cross, subdue our body, abandon the secular world, work and preach for the Lord, and so on. Aren’t they all our changes? Can’t they be seen as the credentials for our entry into the kingdom of heaven? I believe only if we continue our pursuit like this can we become holy and enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Answer: Man can love their enemy, bear their cross, subdue their body, and preach the Lord’s gospel, which are all man’s good deeds after their believing in the Lord and show that they have a true heart toward the Lord. Such good deeds are right in man’s eyes, and seemingly they are in accordance with the God’s word, but they don’t indicate that men are practicing God’s word and doing God’s will, much less indicate that they have cast off their sinful nature and become holy. We cannot only judge a person’s good deeds outwardly, but should discern his intentions behind them.

If one’s intention is for obeying God, loving God, and satisfying God, such good deeds are practicing the truth and doing God’s will. If one does good deeds only for receiving blessings, the crown, and rewards, not for loving God, such good deeds are not doing God’s will, but are hypocritical performances. If good deeds mean that one has done God’s will and become holy, then why is he still able to commit sins and resist God often?

So I became the “most able person” and the “toast” of the churches, exalted and looked up to by all the brothers and sisters, and became an idol in their hearts. They all thought highly of me and adored me. As a result, I became all the more self-right and arrogant. When I said “Yes,” none of them ever dared to say “No.” Whenever I went out to visit the churches or preach the gospel,

a church member would be assigned to carry my book bag and luggage. Whichever church I went to visit, the brothers and sisters there would travel a long distance to pick me up and see me off. I kept all the brothers and sisters in the churches under strict control. Without my permission, no one should overstep the mark (that is, go out to seek the true way). It was not until I had accepted God’s work of the last days that I came to realize that I was in no sense one who led the churches but a leading demon that resisted the work of God.
