Ⅶ Questions and Answers About the Name of God—–Question 2

Ⅶ Questions and Answers About the Name of God—–Question 2

Question 2: God’s name in each age doesn’t represent God in His entirety, then what does God’s name in each age mean?

God
the Truth About the Name of God
Answer: This question is very important. Today Almighty God has given us the answer to this question. Almighty God says, “‘Jehovah’ is the name that I took during My work in Israel, and it means the God of the Israelites (God’s chosen people) who can take pity on man, curse man, and guide the life of man. It means the God who possesses great power and is full of wisdom.

Questions and Answers About the Name of God—–Question 1

Questions and Answers About the Name of God—–Question 1

Ⅶ Questions and Answers About the Name of God

Question 1: It’s written right there in the Bible: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). So the name of the Lord doesn’t change! But you say that the name of Jesus will change in the last days. How do you explain it?

God
the Name of God
Answer: Brothers and sisters, the Bible says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). This means that God’s disposition and God’s substance are immutable. It doesn’t mean that God’s name will never change. Look with us at the words of Almighty God.
Almighty God says, “There are those who say that God is immutable. That is correct, but it refers to the immutability of God’s disposition and substance. Changes in His name and work do not prove that His substance has altered; in other words, God will always be God, and this will never change. If you say that the work of God always stays the same, then would He be able to finish His six-thousand-year management plan? You merely know that God is forever unchanging, but do you know that God is always new and never old? If the work of God never changed, then could He have brought mankind to today? If God is immutable, then why is it that He has already done the work of two ages? … the words ‘God is always new and never old’ are in reference to His work, and the words ‘God is immutable’ are in regard to what God inherently has and is. Regardless, you cannot define the six-thousand-year work in one point, or portray it with mere static words. Such is the stupidity of man. God is not as simple as man imagines, and His work will not stop in one age. Jehovah, for example, will not always stand for the name of God; God also does His work under the name of Jesus, which is a symbol of how God’s work is always progressing forward.

a Testimony, a Life Story---- I Finally Have A Warm Family – God’s Love

One afternoon in the early spring, I was reviewing lessons alone in my bedroom, while my mother was cleaning in the living room. After a while, my grandmother and uncle came in. I thought they just dropped in on us, so I said hello to them and then went on with my revision. Afterward, my mother led them to the study.
A few moments later, the arguments between my mother and my grandmother came to my ears. When hearing my mother shouted the word “divorce,” My heart gave a great throb. Divorce? Aren’t they getting on very well? Why does my mother want a divorce? What’s going on? Later on, their voices trailed off. But from that day on, I found everything changed. My father went home less and less, while my mother’s smile disappeared from her face.

It wasn’t until later that I learned my father had an affair. Upon hearing that, I realized that my family was going to break apart. My father cheated on my mother. I couldn’t imagine how much pain my mother was suffering, yet I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Soon our relatives also got to know my father’s extramarital affair, and they began to talk about it. Some persuaded my parents to be reconciled with each other, while some just advised them to get divorced. And I, in order to escape all of this, chose to go to boarding school after graduation from middle school, unwilling to live at home anymore.

Classic Questions and Answers on the Gospel of the Kingdom Selections—-Question 9

Classic Questions and Answers on the Gospel of the Kingdom Selections—-Question 9

Question 9: If we accept Almighty God, will we enter the kingdom of heaven?

Answer: To answer this,  God’s words make it clear. Let’s first look at what God says about it.
“The return of Jesus is a great salvation for those who are capable of accepting the truth, but for those who are unable to accept the truth it is a sign of condemnation. You should choose your own path, and should not blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and reject the truth. You should not be an ignorant and arrogant person, but someone who obeys the guidance of the Holy Spirit and longs for and seeks the truth; only in this way will you benefit” (“When You Behold the Spiritual Body of Jesus Will Be When God Has Made Anew Heaven and Earth” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
God
If we accept Almighty God, will we enter the kingdom of heaven?
I will let all who follow Me know this fact: Those who cannot fully accept My words, those who cannot practice My words, those who cannot find a purpose in My words, and those who cannot receive salvation because of My words, are those who have been condemned by My words and, moreover, have lost My salvation, and My rod shall never stray from them” (“You Ought to Consider Your Deeds” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

a Testimony, a Life Story —-I Finally “Regained” My Lovely Son

a Testimony, a Life Story

I Finally “Regained” My Lovely Son

Zhien

The most painful thing for my husband and me was that we didn’t know how to educate our son. We only wished that he could take the right path and conduct himself well and wouldn’t learn to do ill. However, for us living in this evil world, such an apparently simple wish was not easy to be realized.
Son
I Finally “Regained” My Lovely Son

As my son grew up, he gradually lost the innocence and loveliness of childhood. At the age of ten, he didn’t even knew to help us do any housework during school vacation, but just busied himself watching TV, playing computer games, and hanging around. Additionally, whatever wrong he did, he never admitted his faults but put the blame on others, and even if he admitted he did it, he would find excuses for it. He especially hated us to ask about his business; and once someone did so, he would revolt against it, and his attitude was so bad which was simply incomprehensible to us. In getting along with his younger sister, he behaved even worse. Whenever he saw some good food or anything he loved, he would scramble to get them like a bandit. Regardless of how hard we had tried to teach him to humor her younger sister, he couldn’t take it in. In his schoolwork, he was hopeless. He never did his classwork, and with his homework, he either didn’t do it or did it perfunctorily. When my husband found too many mistakes in his homework and asked him to correct them, he would angrily argue that he did as his teacher taught him. He often didn’t know what the homework was and lost his textbooks many times. Because of his poor academic record and intractability, his teacher was very angry and asked him to repeat a year. When my husband saw nothing worked no matter how we taught him, he turned to the teachings of those Chinese philosophers, such as “Filial piety is the first of all virtues,” “It’s never too late to mend,” and “A person without any sincerity cannot establish himself in society.” He tried to use them to teach him to be a dutiful son who was obedient and sensible and could repay parents’ love and care, and to be a good boy who was reliable and approved by others and who learned to admit his faults and correct them. However, much talk of my husband took no effect on him. He still went his own way without any change. At last, my husband was disappointed with him, and he would shake his head and sigh at the mention of him. Anyone of my family could enumerate a lot of his wrongdoings when speaking of him.

Hymn, Praise Song – Be Faithful to The End – “I Wish to See the Day God Gains Glory”

Hymn, Praise Song – Be Faithful to The End – “I Wish to See the Day GodGains Glory”

I
Today I suffer for God; tomorrow I will inherit God’s blessings.
To see the day God gains glory, I’m willing to give up my youth and offer up my whole life.
Ah! God’s love has enchanted my heart,
and I can never leave You again.
I’m willing to drink up the bitter cup, and exchange my whole life for sufferings.
I don’t complain about wrongs or humiliations. I’m willing to repay God’s grace all my life.
